The bulk of media is usually covering the facts on the first world countries, or maybe sometimes a large pandemic in a third world country. But as interest dies down, so does the media of that particular issue. This doesn't mean that the issue goes away. No it just means we are ignoring the issue because we don't have any interest in it. In fact, there are many places around the world that still have problems that we talked about in the past. Take Ebola for example. As the Ebola media died down, people assumed things were better and that everything was solved. But the Ebola pandemic was still on going, it was the fact that we had no more interest that we didn't research any further. While we are frolicking in the park, watching a movie, or protesting for your rights, what do you think the citizens of North Korea are doing? Well you are just about to find out the harsh truth.
